The official trailer has been released for Pixar’s next film ‘Onward’ staring Marvel Alums Chris Pratt (Guardians Of The Galaxy) and Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home)!
The two star as brothers in a fantasy world who use magic to try and bring back their deceased dad for 24 hours. They succeed!…kinda. They are only able to bring back the bottom half of their dad and have the remaining 24 hours to bring back the upper half.
While actors like Pratt and Holland will bring plenty of laughs in the movie, it’s safe to say this movie (like all Pixar movies) will hit you right in the feels. The film was a very personal project for writer/director Dan Scanlon. Scanlon lost his father when he was only a year old and was left with a recording of him saying “Hi” and “Bye”.
“That just felt like a story that was a big part of my life that I wanted to dive into,” said Scanlon in an article on SYFY.com. He would go on to say “ (My Dad Was) kind of mythic and almost magical person.” You can read the rest of the interview HERE.
