Looks like Dierks Bentley got himself into a little trouble with the law this weekend when he got a ticket for fishing without a license!
Dierks was in Colorado for his Seven Peaks Festival, and during some down time off stage, did a little fishing with Luke Bryan and Hardy! All in good fun, Dierks made sure to post a selfie with his catch of the day, and to let fans know IF it had been a competition, he would have definitely won!
Looks like Dierks isn’t above the law though, when he tweeted a video (which seems to have been taken down) of himself sitting in a patrol car getting a ticket for fishing without a license.
“Hey Luke, those fish we caught in the Cottonwood Creek this week here in Buena Vista, we should probably getting a fishing license next time because I just got pulled over,” Bentley said. He tagged fellow singers Luke Bryan and Hardy.
“You’re next,” he warns.
Little heads up Lukey. Hardy…..?!
Actually appreciate the ticket. Appreciate being treated like a regular person. Appreciate what @COParksWildlife does. I’ll be all licensed up next time! @LukeBryanOnline @HardyMusic pic.twitter.com/m13EWYrXsN— Dierks Bentley (@DierksBentley) September 2, 2019
Colorado Parks and Wildlife responded to the video saying: “We tip our caps to @DierksBentley for being a gentleman when our @COParksWildlife officer cited him for fishing without a license this weekend at the @SevenPeaksFest in Buena Vista. We appreciate his kind words about CPW and we welcome him back anytime. With a license of course.”
