Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirmed that ‘Avengers: Endgame‘ is returning to theaters with new footage AND a post credit scene! According to Comicbooks.com, Feige said “We are doing that…I don’t know if it’s been announced. And I don’t know how much (new footage)…Yeah, we’re doing it next weekend.”
And now… A live look at my reaction…
Just kidding, it was more like this.
Likely this means ‘Avengers: Endgame’ will be back in theaters over the weekend of June 28th. This would sandwich it between ‘Toy Story 4’s‘ release this weekend and ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home‘ July 2nd’s release. This is probably being done for two reasons. One, a final push of Endgame will, in all likelihood, move it past Avatar for the all time box office record. According to CNN, Endgame is only $44 million behind Avatar’s record. Two, it’s a ramp up to ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’. You can probably bet that the end credit scene in ‘Endgame’ has something to do with ‘Far From Home’.
ALSO! While we have you…
Marvel has been trying to recruit Keanu Reeves into the MCU. He has so far declined but here’s to hoping!
