Apple To Update “Ducking” Autocorrect

Your iPhone’s autocorrect is about to get a big “ducking” upgrade.

In the new iOS 17, which was announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference Monday, a new kind of AI-powered autocorrect could solve the problem of a common swear word getting changed to “ducking” when you try to type it.

The new iOS keyboard will learn your habits over time, fixing words that you frequently misspell and leaving words alone that you intentionally typed in.

Apple’s head of software explained, “In those moments where you just want to type a ‘ducking’ word, well, the keyboard will learn it, too.”
