I have been told I snore quite loudly. However, it has never bothered me when I sleep, so I’m not sure it is true. If you snore, here are some hacks that might help you at least reduce how much you snore.
A recent survey revealed that 56% of people said that they snore or have a partner who does. 54% of those people have tried hacks that are supposed to help cut back on snoring. Those hacks cover anything from simple to absurd.
For example, some of the simpler hacks include: using extra pillows . . . buying “anti-snore” pillows . . . drinking more water . . . nasal strips . . . nasal sprays . . . saline rinses and sprays . . . decongestants . . . taking a hot shower before bed . . . and using a mouth guard.
Some that border on strange include: avoiding alcohol before bed . . . avoiding alcohol completely . . . drinking alcohol before bed . . . sleeping sitting up . . . and sleeping backward, with your head at the foot of the bed.
The there are the ones that seem just absurd: taping your mouth (which sounds VERY unsafe) . . . putting a peg on your nose . . . spreading thyme oil on your feet . . . and putting a tennis ball in your PJs to stop you from lying on your back.
17% of people surveyed are spending money, seeking help from medical professionals. However, 61% said they might try a remedy once in a while, they have come to the conclusion that their snoring is never going to go away completely.
