‘The Voice Season 23’ Key Competition Change Plus First Look Video

The Voice Season 23 will feature a key competition change during the Battle Rounds.

According to Variety, the Battle Rounds will include a “Playoff Pass.” This will allow a coach to advance both artists in a Battle Round performance to the Playoffs, skipping the Knockout Rounds completely. Each coach will have a single “Playoff Pass” and a “Steal” during the Battle Rounds.

Season 23 of The Voice with Blake Shelton in his final season as a coach, returning coach Kelly Clarkson and new coaches Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan will premiere Monday, March 6th on NBC with the Blind Auditions.

Variety reports the Battle Rounds will begin March 27th. The Knockout Rounds start April 17th. May 1st will be the beginning of the Playoffs with the Live Shows kicking-off May 15th.
