As a kid, Brett Young pretty much had a one-track mind when it came to what he wanted to be for Halloween. In fact, he was so obsessed with being one character in particular that his mom must have had déjà vu every year when he’d ask her to make his costume.

“I was a very … I can say this about myself … I was a very nerdy little boy. I was obsessed with Superman and I would not let it go for, I mean, 15 years probably. To the point where I made my mom make me a new Superman costume three Halloweens in a row. The full tights, sprayed black into my hair, the curl, the whole thing. There’s no way that there was another costume ever that will top the Superman costumes that my mom made me in that three-year stretch where I couldn’t get that one out of my head.”

By the way, Brett just delivered a treat to his fans just in time for Halloween, in the form of a new acoustic version of is latest single, “You Didn’t,” which is available now wherever you stream or download your music.
