Jay Allen’s Fight to #ENDALZ In His Mother’s Memory Continues On ‘The Voice’

Did you catch our friend Jay Allen on The Voice last night? Did you see who he chose as his coach?!

Jay auditioned on the premiere of the brand new season Monday night and blew us all away with a cover of Cody Johnson’s “Til You Can’t!”

You may remember Jay and his fiance Kylie Morgan from the #ENDALZ benefit concert at the Castle Theatre on Friday, September 2nd. Jay and Kylie are rising country stars from Nashville, and we were lucky enough to have them join us for a benefit concert to fight the battle to end Alzheimer’s. (And they are getting married October 1st!)

Jay’s connection to Alzheimer’s is a personal one as he lost his mother to Alzheimer’s in 2019. She was diagnosed at 51.

We have heard Jay share his story many times on B104, and at the #ENDALZ benefit concert at the Castle Theatre, but he got to share his mother’s story on a national platform last night as he auditioned for Season 22 of The Voice.

Not only did Jay perform his audition piece, Cody Johnson’s “Til You Can’t” but he was also able to share the emotional story about his mother. After he shared her story, the judges asked if they could hear his song “Blank Stares” that he wrote for his mom, and has now raised over $50 Million dollars in the fight to #ENDALZ.

Were you surprised at who he picked as his coach?!

Follow along this season! I can’t wait to support Jay on his journey on The Voice and very happy he was able to get another chance to share his Mother’s story on such a huge platform.
