This guy has taken the phrase “It’s not the money, it’s the PRINCIPAL” to a whole new level!

The BBC reports a 66-year-old lawyer in India named Tungnath Chaturvedi just won a lawsuit he filed 22 years ago.

Apparently, he was shortchanged by a cashier back in 1999 for a train ticket he bought. The cashier refused to give him the extra money he felt he was owed. The lawyer then began his lawsuit of the train company over the 20 rupees, or 25 cents, he felt he was owed.

While family members over the years begged him to drop the lawsuit, Tungnath made 120 appearances in court over the past 22 years.

He actually got more than the original 25-cents he was shorted. The judge ordered the train company to pay him 12% interest a year on the money which brought it up to $3.03. The train company was also ordered to pay Tungnath $188 in fines bringing his overall award to $191.03.

Would you have continued on that long over 25-cents?
