Yesterday Cody Johnson was in Nashville to celebrate his first #1 song “‘Til You Can’t.” While there was the typical country music industry event to mark the career milestone, Cody shares he celebrates his success in a different way.

“I live on like the amp is turned to 12 … like everything I do I am 90 miles an hour like at home with my cows and my horses and training horses and I mean you can ask any of my friends, they’re like ‘Dude, you wide open all the time.’ The way I celebrate the life that I’ve been blessed with by only God and hard work I just like to sit back and relax … toast ya a drink, and say ‘It’s good to be us, ain’t it? It’s really good to be us. We get to do what we love for a living … can’t ask for more.’ Other than that I take all that out on stage that’s what you see, that exuberance on stage is not fake it’s not practice it’s not rehearsed … that is where I celebrate like that’s my holy cow look at how great this is.”

“‘Till You Can’t” topped the country charts for two consecutive weeks in March of this year. It is from Cody’s album Human: The Double Album available everywhere now.
