Our hearts are heavy today as country music fans are mourning the loss of a legend as news hit that Naomi Judd passed away this weekend at the age of 76. Her daughters Wynonna and Ashley released this statement.

Not more than 24 hours after the news that Naomi had passed away, Wynonna and Ashley were on hand for The Judds Induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The induction ceremony was filled with tears, music and laughter as country music’s biggest stars mourned the loss of Naomi Judd while also honoring the four inductees. Ray Charles, Eddie Bayes and Pete Drake joined the Country Music Hall of Fame in addition to The Judds. Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill and many more performed their hit songs.

Along with their Hall Of Fame induction The Judds had planned a final tour this September-October, and fans were blown away by their performance at the CMT Music Awards a few weeks ago.

Our thoughts and prayers with the family.
