Garth Brooks had a special duet partner during his stop in Nashville this weekend, 7 year old Charles is the next country superstar!

On Saturday (April 16), Garth spotted Charles in the front row with a black cowboy hat and a sign that said “my first concert ever!” Garth chatted for a second, autographed the sign, and then Charlie told him he had been practicing Garth’s song “Standing Outside the Fire.”

Garth was clearly impressed and asked Charles if he wanted to join him in a duet.

“Alright Charles, I’m going to put this in your hand, you’re going to be a real big time singer, okay?” before handing the 7-year-old a microphone.

The country icon even got the crowd to chant Charles’ name before kicking off the duet. All of that practicing paid off, because Charles didn’t miss a beat!

“Charles, you’re a rock star,” Garth said after the song and the audience erupted in applause!

It’s safe to say that this experience has certainly set the bar high for any other concert Charles may attend in the future. He will probably think this is what happens every time you see your favorite star.

Also, if you want to see a Garth Brooks stadium show you need to act fast. Garth says that once he’s done with this outdoor stadium show tour he’s done doing them for good.  He wants to stick to smaller indoor locations with a roof.  Can’t blame him for that!
