Dolly Parton Will Produce and Star in Movie Adaptation of Her Book “Run, Rose, Run”

Dolly Parton will return to the big screen in “Run, Rose, Run!” Yes! Her new novel is being adapted into a feature film. 

Dolly co-authored the book with James Patterson, and it has been picked up by Reese Witherspoon’s media company, Hello Sunshine.

Dolly will co-produce the movie with Reese and James, but that’s not all…Dolly will also STAR in the film herself!

“Run, Rose, Run” was published this month and topped The New York Times bestseller list, Dolly also released an audio book which Kelsea Ballerini lent her voice to as the lead character, AnnieLee, AND a companion album of the same name through her label, Butterfly Records.

The book came out on March 7, the album on March 4th. It features songs like “Big Dreams and Faded Jeans,” which Parton performed at the 2022 ACM Awards as a duet with Kelsea Ballerini.

No further details are yet available as to which starring role she’ll play, or who else will make up the cast of the movie.
