Dolly Parton is apparently the ONLY person who doesn’t think she should be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, because not even the HOF is letting her quit.

Earlier this week, Dolly made headlines by bowing out as a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee, but they aren’t letting her quit and have announced they will not accept her resignation.

In a statement released Thursday, the Hall said it intends to keep Dolly on the ballot, writing “From its inception, Rock & Roll has had deep roots in Rhythm & Blues and Country music.

They add that Dolly “impacted a generation of young fans and influenced countless artists” and that her nomination “followed the same process as all other artists who have been considered“.

Not only that, but the ballots have already been sent out to more than 1,200 voters, some of whom have already completed and returned them.

In case you missed it, on Monday Dolly said she must “respectfully” bow out because “I don’t feel that I have earned that right”.

It’s always the people who don’t believe they deserve it, that deserve it the MOST!
