20-year-old Leah Marlene from Normal, IL auditioned for American Idol!

Leah reveals that music has been a part of her life since she was four. Her dad helped feed her passion for music being an “80s Rocker” with lots of guitars in the house. Leah also shares that she used to play hockey growing up until she got hit in the head too many times.

She performs a cover of a One Direction song. She then reveals that she has been in Nashville for a few years writing songs. Katy Perry asks her to do a little bit of a song she wrote. Of course she does.
