This will be the 10th consecutive year that Buck Stevens to “Be Bold and Get Cold” to help Special Olympics of Illinois. YOU can help make it the biggest yet.
Each year Buck does the Polar Plunge and sets a goal of $1000 to raise to benefit the athletes of Special Olympics right here in our area. That goal will officially stay the same. However, Buck admits it would be great to see this year set a new high bar.
“The most I have ever raised for one of my Polar Plunges was $1,700. Since this is my 10th plunge, it would be great to see that amount surpassed. It all goes to help the athletes of Special Olympics Illinois, so I hope people will step up and donate.”
As has happened for many years now, Bloomington Meats has agreed to match all donations up to a total of $500. That means if there are at least $1,300 in donations the current high mark will be passed.
