While sales of movie tickets for ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ have been underwhelming, millions watched the film when it became available on HBO Max.

According to data from Samba TV, 2.8 million households tuned into the film between Wednesday and Sunday.

Over the last five days, just 1.76 million bought tickets to see it in movie theaters.
