Jimmie Allen made his Dancing with the Stars debut last night and totally crushed it.

Jimmie admitted he was super nervous, but you couldn’t tell once he was dancing on that stage with his partner and dance pro Emma Slater. Emma won the mirror ball trophy in season 24 with her partner, NFL running back Rashad Jennings.

Jimmie said he chose to go on the show to be an ambassador for country music, because it’s something he has never done before and he likes to challenge himself with new things, and also because he’s “competitive as hell.”

Jimmie performed a Tango with Emma and the judges seemed impressed with his week 1 talent and said they think he will go far in the competition.

His performance impressed most of the judges.
