The CMT Music Awards have announced that the annual awards ceremony is moving to CBS next year.

The show is typically shown on cable channel, CMT, which is what the awards are named after.

Sources close to the deal say that CBS declined to pay more money for the ACM awards (Academy of Country Music) this year, which is the reason for moving the CMT awards.

Viacom CBS is the parent company of CMT.
