Country music singer-songwriter Cole Swindell still gets excited when he hears his music on the radio.

Cole has released three studio albums, five EPs, 11 singles and scored nine #1 songs on the country radio airplay charts. However, he still gets a thrill out of hearing himself on the radio. The question is, does he crank up the volume when he does?

“Oh, yeah, you know especially if you’re riding, and it just happens to … it comes on when you’re in the car. If I’m with people, I try not to crank it up and look too silly, but you get that feeling inside. You might try that like ‘oh man that’s cool,’ but it really … it’ll always be cool. Honestly, when you grow up listening to country radio and just being a fan of the whole deal, that’s how you heard music and for me as a kid to now. You know, I know everybody says that it’s hard to put in to words, to have your dreams in three minutes right there … you turn up on the dial that’s, I don’t know … if that ever gets old then I need to get outta here and it’s definitely not getting any time soon.”

Cole’s latest single “Single Saturday Night” is climbing the charts and in the Top 20 this week on the Billboard Country Airplay singles chart. Listen for the song on Bloomington-Normal’s #1 Country.

What is something that still thrills you even though it is not a new experience anymore?
