One little penguin’s smarts helped it stay alive in a recent video that has gone viral online.

Spoiler alert (for those of you concerned for the penguin) he makes it.

A travel blogger and his wife were taking a tour through the Gerlache Strait in Antarctica when they saw the incredible chase unfold.

A Gentoo Penguin caught the eye of a pod of Orca Whales and they decided they wanted a quick snack, so the penguin can be seen fleeing for his life right in front of the tourists eyes. He made a desperate leap for safety into their boat, unfortunately his first attempt failed, and you could hear everyone on the clip gasp in concern and can even hear someone say “That did not sound well!”

Luckily for “Jimmy” as they named him, the penguin was able to successfully make the jump safely into the boat the second time as the tourists cheered in delight that he would no longer be a buffet item in front of their eyes.

Talk about National Geographic right before your very eyes!
