Russell Dickerson just surprised a Utah teen with an early Christmas present, and it’s definitely a surprise you will need kleenex for.

Russell was scrolling through Instagram, checking his messages when he came across a video of a girl in a hospital bed singing and dancing to his song “Home Sweet.” But what Russell later learned about the girl is what made him decide to give her an incredible surprise.

Sarah Frei and 3 of her friends were returning from a trip when an oncoming car crashed into theirs and paralyzed her from the waist down. Unfortunately, due to her injuries, both of her legs had to be amputated and she spent months in the hospital while undergoing 20 surgeries.

Sarah documented her difficult journey and road to recovery on her instagram page, which is how Russell heard about her story. He decided he wanted to do something incredible for the teen after he heard her first question to doctors after waking up from surgery was “Will I ever be able to drive again?”

That was enough for Russell. He new he wanted to do something, so he teamed up with Chevrolet to surprise Sarah with a brand new, handicap accessible, 2021 Chevrolet Traverse. During a zoom call with the girl, Russell told her to check her driveway, and that’s when Sarah found her dream car, courtesy of Chevrolet, and her favorite country singer, Russell Dickerson.
