Last night (11/23) Blake Shelton made the final choices on season 19 of The Voice for Team Blake in the Knockout Rounds.

The episode began with Kelly Clarkson pairing Desz with the artist she stole from Team Legend in the Battle Rounds, Sid Kingsley. Desz chose to sing Tevin Campbell’s “Can We Talk.” Sid picked “Make It Rain” by Foy Vance for his performance. Both performances were full of genuine emotion and plenty of talent from each artist. It left Kelly with a difficult decision to make.

In the preparation video that aired on TV Kelly made the comment that she was going to have to hope for a steal after this Knockout Battle. She decided to keep Desz on Team Kelly and got her wish times two as both John Legend and Blake pressed their buttons to steal Sid. Blake reminded Sid that he did turn for him in the Blind Auditions and that John had already cut him from his team. Sid reminded us that his mom had wanted him to pick Blake. He also said he would “regret coming here and not working with as many coaches as I possibly can” and chose to join Team Blake for the live shows.

Blake’s first paring of the night was Jim Ranger singing Tim McGraw’s “Humble and Kind” and Jus Jon performing “Finesse” by Bruno Mars. Both artists did a really good job with their performances. However, in my opinion Jim seemed to put more feeling into his performance. This video was posted as a sneak peek a few days ago so it does not show Blake’s choice for the winner of the battle.

Blake did make the decision to keep Jim Ranger on Team Blake. That sent Jus Jon home.

Blake’s final pairing of the Knockout Rounds was Ian Flanigan and the artist he stole from Team Legend in the Battle Rounds, James Pyle. Ian chose to perform “Beautiful Crazy” by Luke Combs while James picked Shawn Mendes’ “In My Blood” to sing. Both artists were very strong with their performances. However, it is just so obvious that Ian has a completely unique voice. It’s not like anybody on The Voice or even anybody on the planet in my opinion.

Blake felt the same way about Ian’s voice being so unique and chose to keep him on Team Blake. That ended James’ time on the show.

You can see the other performances from the night on the official YouTube channel of The Voice here.

Tonight the Knockout Rounds will end and the four-way Knockout Battle will take place. The four “Saved” artists from the Battle Rounds will each perform. America will vote on which ONE of those artists will advance to live shows. The final night of the Knockout Rounds on season 19 of The Voice begins at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
