The Knockout Rounds began last night (11/17) on season 19 of The Voice. What did Blake Shelton do with Team Blake?

Blake paired Ben Allen with the family trio called Worth The Wait for his first Knockout battle. Ben performed first and chose to sing the #1 Luke Combs song “She Got The Best Of Me.” Ben’s voice is deeper than the original and made the song sound quite different as a result to me. He was solid on his performance and nailed the song.

The Matthews family group performed second. Tara (mom), Mia (daughter) and Jacy (daughter) form the trio. They chose to sing the iconic “Delta Dawn” by Tanya Tucker. The trio grabbed everybody’s attention out of the gate by starting the song a cappella. The harmonies from start to finish were tight and right. They changed it up for moment increasing the tempo and making the song their own.

Blake chose to keep Worth The Wait on Team Blake moving to the live shows. However, it was not the end of the road for Ben. Gwen Stefani decided to use her “Steal” to bring him to Team Gwen for the live shows.
