Remember when Howard Wolowitz designed a space toilet on the show The Big Bang Theory? NASA is giving you the chance to live that story for real!

In the show Howard created the “Wolowitz Zero-Gravity Human Waste Disposal System” for the International Space Station.

NASA is hoping that life can imitate art by offering a prize of $35,000 to the person who submits the winning design of the next generation of space toilets.

Some of the requirements are that it must work in both zero-gravity and in lunar gravity conditions, weigh less than 33 pounds, and accommodate both male and female users. Find out more and apply at Herox.com/LunarLoo.

There is one way that NASA does not want life to imitate art. They would likely prefer there not to be any problems with the new space toilet unlike Howard’s design on the show.

What do you think would be the most challenging part of using the bathroom in space?
