Chris Young is working on his eighth studio album. It has been almost three years since he has released a new album. Chris says the album will be worth the wait.

Chris released his last album Losing Sleep October 20, 2017. His next album has yet to be officially be named. It also does not have an official release date yet. However, the country singer-songwriter says the end product is going to be worth waiting for.

“It’s so so awesome that I’ve not only been able to get in the studio and track some things that I added that people haven’t even heard yet, but also … you know … The other day, Kane Brown teased part of a song that he’s on on the record. And [I] really can’t wait for people to hear the whole thing, but I promise it will be worth the wait.”

Not only is Kane Brown featured on a song, but the album also reportedly includes collaborations with Lauren Alaina and one with Brad Paisley and Riley Green. Chris reveals that the project has been an ever-evolving process.

“This will definitely have more tracks on it than the last record that I put out only because as I’ve had the time I’ve either written other things or, you know, found songs that other people have written that I fell in love with and added guests. Like being able to have people like Lauren Alaina and Kane Brown and other friends of mine on the record. So, it’s just been kind of an evolving process, but I think people are going to be really, really happy when they get the finished project.”

Below are three songs that are expected to be on the album: “Raised On Country” (a top five single); “Town Ain’t Big Enough” (collaboration with Lauren Alaina); “Drowning” (a song Chris co-wrote with Corey Crowder and Josh Hoge about the unexpected death of his friend Adam Carnes).
