After the storms can come rainbows, and even with all of the hard stories shared over the past few days, not all are bad. This is the story of Keenan Love. His name says it all.

Keenan chose to walk in peaceful protest over the death of George Floyd, so on Sunday morning he started walking at 6:30am. He walked 46 miles from Chicago to Kankakee. 1 mile for every year of Mr. Floyd’s life before he was killed. The walk was documented heavily on social media, and at one point Keenan got tired, physically, mentally and emotionally, and he broke down a bit. But a huge crowd of supporters gathered around him at that time and lifted his spirits with applause and cheers to help him finish the rest of the way. Every single step was taken with purpose and this incredible young man is making history and teaching others you can be heard even if you are peaceful.

You can watch his final moments of the walk as the crowd gathered around him and he jumped through the red balloons! You can just feel the excitement and emotion!

Going down in HISTORY: This man TherealKeenanlove walked 46 miles from Chicago to Kankakee!!!! A mile for every year George Floyd lived. When I say KANKAKEE COUNTY SHOWED UP!!! THE SUPPORT WAS EVERYTHING! Shout out to those of you who walked with him the closer he got, idc if it was 30 ft, every step counts!!! #PEACEFULPROTEST

Here is the last 20 minutes of the walk that Keenan posted as he was streaming live. I watched the last few minutes, so I can’t say if there is any explicit language in the first part of the video, so watch at your own risk, but the last few moments were INCREDIBLE and gave me goosebumps!
