The final laps in Sunday’s NASCAR race were what we all expect to happen at Bristol Motor Speedway. It was Brad Keselowski that was able to take advantage of the situation and win in the Food City presents the SUPERMARKET HEROES 500.

When the NASCAR Cup Series goes short-trackin’ there is always beating and banging. The first short track race of the 2020 season was no exception. There were 17 caution periods during the 500 lap race around the 0.533-mile track.

There were a handful of drivers that displayed the ability to win the race as seven drivers exchanged the lead 21 times. Denny Hamlin was out front the most with 131 laps led. However, it appeared Chase Elliott had found a way to be out front when it counted as he won stage one and stage two of the race.

As the race wound down it again looked as though Chase was going to be able to be out front when it counted as he battled with Joey Logano for the lead. When those two cars came together racing and slid into the wall with just a few laps remaining, Brad Keselowski was there to take advantage of the situation.

Brad got to the lead and won his second race of the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season. Clint Bowyer was the runner-up at in the race. Jimmie Johnson scored a third place finish followed by Kyle Busch (3rd) and Erik Jones (5th). See the complete race results from Bristol Motor Speedway here.

The top three spots in the point standings remain the same with Kevin Harvick leading, Joey Logano in second and Chase Elliott in third. Brad Keselowski’s win moves him up a spot to fourth place and pushes Alex Bowman back to fifth place. See the complete NASCAR Cup Series point standings here.
