Last night (5/4) the first ever “remote” live show for The Voice on NBC aired. Blake Shelton had four Team Blake artists perform.

The current situation with COVID-19 prevented season 18 of The Voice from progressing to the live shows in the same manner as previous seasons. Instead of the artists and coaches gathering for performances in front of a live audience, the coaches and artists appeared from their homes across the country.

Carson Daly was on a sound stage with a small crew to produce the remote live show. One of Carson’s first duties was to reveal that Team Nick’s Michael Williams was the winner of the first ever four-way-knockout-battle from last week. That gave Nick Jonas five members on his team while the other three coaches all proceeded with four artists each.

Carson also revealed that tonight (5/5) the Top 17 will be cut down to NINE artists. There will be one artist on each team that will advance based on America’s vote. Each coach will get to pick one artist on their team to remain on the show. There will also be a “Wild Card Instant Save” to determine the ninth and final artist to advance on the show.

Below are the four Team Blake performances from last night.

Joei Fulco sang Bonnie Raitt’s “Runaway”…

Toneisha Harris sang “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” by Kelly Clarkson…

Joanna Serenko sang “Rich Girl” by Daryl Hall & John Oates

Todd Tilghman sangs Peter Cetera’s “Glory of Love”…

You can watch the other performances at The Voice YouTube Channel here or the official website of The Voice here.
