Jake Owen has scored a #1 with his latest single “Homemade.”
The advance release of the Billboard Country Airplay singles chart for this week shows Jake in the number one spot for country radio airplay.
Jake posted his reaction to the news on Twitter…
Wow. Just woke up to a bunch of texts congratulating me on “Homemade” going #1! My 8th #1 single. I am blown away and forever grateful to country radio for giving me the most amazing ride over the last 10 years. I’m just getting started. Thanks to my @BigLoud team and friends. 🍊

While Jake did not write the song, he connected to it as though he had.
“It’s a song that really relates to my life,” he said. “I didn’t write it, but I think all of us have some unique homemade qualities about us, you know that shine through in your music. And that song’s one of the perfect ones for me, where I feel like for a song I didn’t write, it’s almost like I did.”
“Homemade” is the eight career chart topper for the country music singer-songwriter. The song can be found on Jake’s current album Greetings From… Jake available everywhere now.
