Carson King is a college football fan who held up a sign on national TV asking for beer money, but instead ended up with $1 MILLION dollars, and counting! Don’t worry, Carson is donating to a children’s hospital in his area.

Carson was joking with his buddies when he held up the sign asking for beer money during ESPN’s “College GameDay” taping last weekend. He even added his Venmo account in hopes that at least one random person might throw him $20.

“Busch Light Supply Needs Replenished…Venmo Carson-King-25”
And guess what people did! LOTS of people actually.
His phone started going off and suddenly he had $100, then $400, then $600, then $2000 in donations. All for beer! That’s when he knew he had to do something special with the money. He talked with his mom and decided to donate the money to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, which is right by the football stadium.
The money kept coming in, and at one point last week the total high was at $34,000, and that’s when both Venmo and Busch Light stepped up and promised to MATCH the $34,000.

At this point, Carson gets to hand over a check to the children’s hospital for almost $100,000, minus the cost of a case of beer. That’s when Busch came back with another surprise…his FACE on the CAN!

All because one college football fan wanted to see if he could get someone to buy him beer on national TV.
Carson has been providing constant updates with the flood of donations that have been rolling in. As of yesterday, they officially passed the $1 million dollar mark, and as of this morning it continues to grow with donations being accepted until the end of the month!
