Country music singer-songwriter Matt Stell did his homework before his taping to appear on Bachelor In Paradise tonight.

The country music newcomer admits while he hasn’t watched a lot of The Bachelor franchise, he did do his research before appearing on tonight’s (8/27) episode;

“Coming from a sports background, that’s what I treated it like. And so, I went and got a scouting report from some of my friends that are die-hard fans, and kind of got the ins and outs about those things. And I watched some game film and get my bearings on the show.”

Matt explains why he felt it was important for him to do that research before his time on the show;

“I can see why people are passionate about it. And I certainly didn’t want to go in there just half-cocked and kind of disrespect that, ’cause, I mean, it matters to a lot of people.”

Matt will perform his top 15 debut hit single “Prayed For You” on the episode filmed in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The episode will air tonight (8/27) at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on ABC.

You can hear Matt perform his hit single and more live when he opens for Chris Young‘s “Raised On Country Tour” at the Peoria Civic Center Saturday, October 5th. Get complete concert and ticket details here.
