Luke Combs was up for the Grammy for Best New Artist. However, he did not win the award and he shared how it took him a little time to be OK with that.
Like all people, singers would like to win awards to help validate that they are doing a good job. When somebody else wins the award one can feel disappointed and even a little angry. That’s just being human.
Luke was up against Chloe X Halle, Greta Van Fleet, H.E.R., Margo Price, BeBe Rexha, Jorja Smith and Dua Lipa in the all-genre category. Dua Lipa was announced as the winner at the Grammy Awards Sunday night (2/10).
Luke admitted yesterday via his Instagram account that he was disappointed and even angry at first when he didn’t win. However, after a night with friends and sleeping on it, he woke up with a whole new attitude.
Don’t worry Luke, you are doing things exactly as you should be. You have a long and successful career ahead of you. You don’t NEED them, but I am sure many awards are coming to you in the future.
