On Wednesday, December 5th 2018, a semi going the wrong way hit a Normal West School bus head on, killing two men and injuring others. Donation accounts have been set up to help with medical costs, so here is how you can help!
All eight girls involved in last Wednesday night’s bus crash have been released from the hospital, when the bus, carrying the Normal West JV girls basketball team was in a head on collision with a semi driving the wrong way on 74. Unfortunately, Charlie Crabtree, a 72 year old team volunteer, and a lifelong Wildcat supporter lost his life, as did the semi driver who is from Iowa.
Coach Steve Price suffered broken bones and is in stable condition after surgery. Mark Kuhn was the driver of the school bus and has also been released from surgery. Kuhn faces multiple surgeries, and both men are said to have a long road to recovery.
Many people have asked how they can help…at this time community members have set up Go Fund Me Accounts for both Steve Price, and Mark Kuhn. Normal West has no participation in the collection or distribution of these funds.
If you would like to donate to Coach Steve Price and help with his medical expenses, you can go here!

Keep all of the families and the Normal West Community in your thoughts and prayers!
