The 2nd annual Children’s Discovery Museum Pushcart Derby will be at 10 am June 9th in the Circle in Uptown Normal. Children from 3rd through 8th grade are encouraged to attend. Teams of 7 – 10 students, as well as up to 2 parent pit crew members, will form a team and build and test their own unique cart in a road course derby! Construction supplies will be provided.
Teams will begin the day with a workshop conducted by museum and ISU educators learning how to use science, technology, engineering, art, and math to design and construct their carts.
There is still time for you to register. Click HERE to get signed up. The cost is $20 per student (The parent pit crew members are free). Participant Fee includes all materials, t-shirt, snacks, and lunch. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.
