It’s been a busy week for Disneys’ nostalgia department. First we had the Mary Poppins teaser drop during the Academy Awards and now this! The first teaser trailer for Christopher Robins dropped yesterday and here it is…

First reaction: Ewen McGregor as Christopher Robin? That sounds good to me!

Second reaction: The story looks like one we have seen Disney use countless times. The adult version of the main character needs to re-discover himself and the child within with the help from his old friends. Some movies pull this off better than others, but this is the perfect story for a loved character like Winnie the Pooh. Consider that many of the people in the theater for this movie will be parents taking their kids. It will speak to them as much as it does their children.

Christopher Robin will hit theaters on August 3rd.
