Billboard has released their year end charts for 2017 and on the country music side Sam Hunt dominated them with the help of his mega-hit “Body Like A Back Road.”

With less than two weeks left of the year Billboard is reporting the best performing songs, artists and albums in music.

Sam’s song “Body Like A Back Road” not only broke the previous record for the most weeks at number one on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart … it shattered it! The previous record was 24 weeks (set in 2012 by Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise”), but Sam spent 31 weeks in the #1 spot on the chart this year with “Body Like A Back Road.”

The success of that song has put Sam at the top of the Billboard 2017 Year End Charts for Top Country Artists, Hot Country Songs, Hot Country Songs Artists, Country Airplay Songs, Country Digital Song Sales, Country Digital Songs and Country Streaming Songs.

Chris Stapleton managed to claim the top spot on the Billboard 2017 Year End Charts for Top Country Albums for Traveller and Top Country Albums Artists.

Blake Shelton scored the top spot on the Billboard 2017 Year End Charts for Country Airplay Artists on the strength of his library of songs from new to past hits being played on country radio.

Congratulations to all the country artists for a strong 2017 and here’s to an even stronger 2018 for country music!
