Christmas has always been one of Thomas Rhett‘s (TR) favorite times of the year. However, this year he is even more excited about it since it will be his first as a DAD!
TR remembers what it was like for him growing up and wanting Christmas morning to just get here. “You know, growing up, waiting for Christmas felt like you were sitting there waiting for six years,” he admits.
Since he has become an adult that anticipation has been easier to control. However, now that he and his wife Lauren are the parents of two little girls, Willa (2-years-old) and Ada (four-months-old) TR thinks that anticipation is coming back strong as ever.

“Now that we have kids,” TR confesses, “I do think that that like that little anxious feeling of ‘God it’s gonna take me forever to fall asleep tonight’ is gonna be back.”
Why will that feeling be back? Some might say it is because TR is still a little kid himself (most of us men are), but he says it’s, “Because we know that that’s what Willa and Ada are thinking about. So, it’ll be fun.”
I can tell you TR that Christmas as a parent is better than any you have ever had, especially that first one as a dad! Merry Christmas to Thomas Rhett, Lauren and their daughters Willa and Ada! Enjoy the memories made this year.
