Luke Combs and Kip Moore are the top songs this week on the country radio airplay singles charts.

The advanced Billboard Country Radio Airplay singles chart is out and Luke Combs is in the #1 spot on that chart with “When It Rains It Pours.”

This makes two consecutive chart topping singles out of two released for the singer-songwriter following his debut number one single “Hurricane.”

Luke says it is exciting to see and hear the audience reaction in concert to what is now his second #1 song. “It’s rocking. I can definitely tell when we’re out playing the shows the fan reaction has been awesome to the song,” Luke admits.

“We play it super early in the set so people are super excited about that when we bust into it early and it’s been crazy because ‘Hurricane’ has been out for so long so it wasn’t really surprising,” he explains, “You see the impact that radio really has on a brand new song and it’s crazy to watch it go from a somewhat unknown tune to a song that everybody knows at the shows.”

The song is the second #1 single from Luke’s #1 debut studio album This One’s For You.

Kip Moore ascends to the top of the other major country radio airplay singles chart this week. The advanced release of the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart shows the top song as “More Girls Like You.” The song becomes Kip’s fourth career chart topper and is from his latest studio album Slowheart.

Kip says the subject of the song is something he is more open to these days, “I’ve watched dads being enamored of their daughters and I look forward to that now. I’m a lot more open to that now. So, that’s what the song is finding that person that you find so amazing that you hope they turn out like that amazing person does. It’s just a song that I, as I was writing it down, you know ‘I’ve been living like a wild old mustang/out in Montana fields.’ It’s like that’s just 100 percent.”

Congratulations to Luke Combs and Kip Moore on their number one songs!
