They say you never forget your first. That means Maren Morris will never forget Thomas Rhett.

I’m talking about having a number one song. Thomas Rhett’s single “Craving You” featuring Maren Morris is the #1 song this week on the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase Country Aircheck singles charts according to the advance release of both of those charts.

This marks the 8th chart topping single for Thomas Rhett and the first time Maren has achieved that mark even though she has a Grammy Award winning song and CMA and ACM Award wins.

The song is the debut single from the forthcoming third studio album from Thomas Rhett. Watch the music video for “Craving You” by Thomas Rhett featuring Maren Morris below.

Thomas Rhett recalls that he was supposed to write with the two guys who wrote the song the day they wrote it, “The funny story about ‘Craving You’ is actually, a guy named Julian Bunetta and a guy named Dave Barnes were in Nashville and I was supposed to actually join this co-write one day, but I got sick. And so Julian and Dave happened to write this song called ‘Craving You.’ And I remember Julian sending me the track and just immediately just being blown away by the song, blown away by the longing-ness of the story of how this guy is just craving this girl and every time they leave each other they can’t wait to get back together with each other. Who knows if I’d been in the room that day if we would have written this song, but it’s kind of a cool story either way.”

Congratulations to Thomas Rhett and Maren Morris for their #1 song “Craving You.”
