Last night (4/3) the Knockout Rounds began on The Voice Season 12 and Blake Shelton had a tough choice to make for Team Blake right out of the box.
In this round the coaches are working with their artists as they prepare for a solo performance. However, each artist is paired with another member of the team they are on for a head-to-head competition.
When the two performances are over, the coach has to decide which artist will remain on their team for the live shows and which one will be eliminated from their team.
Each coach has a single “Steal” in this round, so four eliminated artists will remain on the show for the live shows by moving to another team.
Blake paired Casi Joy with Felicia Temple, the artist he stole from Team Alicia in the Battle Rounds.
Casi Joy performed the Grammy winning song “My Church” by Maren Morris. Casi also decided to show a different side of herself by playing the guitar during the Knockout Rounds competition. Check out her performance below…
Felicia Temple did not take chose an easy path for this round of the competition as she chose the “My Heart Will Go On” by Céline Dion. This song is quite the challenge for a singer to nail. Watch Felicia’s performance in the video below…
Both ladies did a good job on their chosen songs leaving Blake with a tough decision. In the end he decided to keep Casi on Team Blake for the live shows.
You can see where all the teams stand after the first night of competition in the Battle Rounds at the official website of The Voice here.
The Knockout Rounds continue tonight (4/4) starting at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
