Congratulations to the new Miss Universe 2017!

That’s right, last Sunday night (1/29) the 65th Miss Universe pageant was held. But, let’s be honest, you didn’t even know it was on did you? Yeah, neither did I.

Last year the host, Steve Harvey accidentally read the wrong name when announcing the winner of Miss Universe 2016. That’s the only reason most of us knew the pageant had happened last year.

This year, I just happened to run across the CNN video at the top of the page that gives us the basic highlights of the show. That is why I know that Miss France, Iris Mittenaere, was crowned Miss Universe 2017.

The video also shows that the show had some fun with their returning host about his honest, but big mistake last year.

Congratulations to Miss France on being crowned Miss Universe 2017!
