The website Livabilty.com has ranked Bloomington #10 as the most affordable places to live. Since we live here, I’m sure it isn’t a big surprise due to the corporate headquarters for State Farm and Country Financial both being here.
They looked at different factors that put Bloomington in the Top 10. They look at cities that are attainable financially based on costs and job opportunities, but also good places to live. The average home price is under $150 thousand a great value since our attractions, quality of life and assortment of restaurants and recreation.
The Children’s Discovery Museum got a mention and that it draws more than 40 thousand visitors every year. I’m sure the Miller Park Zoo played a big role in the ranking, but no mention about all golf great golf courses. I don’t know about you, but it’s great to live in a city that ranks in the top 10.
