Thomas Rhett is spending a sixth week at #1 one with his latest single “Die A Happy Man.” It’s the first time in eight years that feat has been accomplished on the Billboard Country Airplay chart!

When the advanced Billboard chart was released today it was Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Many” that continued its residency at the top to mark a month and a half at number one.

So what song by which artist was the last to spend six weeks in the number one spot on the Billboard chart? It was Taylor Swift with her single “Our Song.”

Thomas Rhett is in disbelief of the success of his song, “I seriously can’t believe this song has spent six weeks at #1.”

That doesn’t mean he isn’t appreciative of the acceptance of the song that he wrote for his wife by the country music community, “When you put a song out there as personal as this, you hope it connects and resonates with people. But I could never have imagined it would connect like this!”

How does he feel about achieving a milestone with the song that was last reached by an artist who has rewritten so many records on the charts since her emergence? “To mirror an achievement not seen since Taylor Swift – someone I really respect as a songwriter, performer and entertainer,” Thomas Rhett says, “is just mind blowing.”

Congratulations on a career song and six-week number one with “Die A Happy Man” to Thomas Rhett!
