The blind auditions continued last night (3/2) on “The Voice” season eight and Blake Shelton acquired three more artists for Team Blake.
The coaches were all in full press mode trying to get the artists to join their individual teams on the show. Christina Aguilera was extremely passionate about a couple of the artists and it paid off for her as she added three artists to bring Team Xtina to a total of seven.
Pharrell Williams also gained three more artists to his team. I am positive that one artist chose him over Christina because he subtlety played the “I’m a producer” card. Team Pharrell currently has the most artists at eight.
Adam Levin gained more artist than any coach last night grabbing five more to bring his total to seven artists on Team Adam. Adam even felt so confident for the night that he performed his own blind audition and chose Christina for her coach. Watch Adam’s blind audition here.
Blake Shelton added three artists to Team Blake to bring his total to seven. One of the artists was a battle between him and Adam. The artist was Jacob Rummell and I really felt like Adam had the advantage. However, the surprise decision by Jacob was to choose Blake as his coach. Following the decision was what I felt was the quote of the night.
While Adam was lamenting about what he felt was a shocking decision, Blake told him; “You know where you screwed up? When you started talking.” Adam’s response to Blake was; “Keep doing nothing. It’s doing really well for you.” Watch the video of the encounter and what followed below.
Blake also added Kelsie May who got everybody except Adam to turn their chairs. His third artist of the night was revealed in one of the show’s “montage clips,” Matt Snook joined Team Blake.
