Kimberly Schlapman of the Grammy-winning group Little Big Town is set to release a book about her other passion … cooking.

The cookbook is entitled Oh Gussie! Cooking and Visiting in Kimberly’s Southern Kitchen. It contains not only recipes from the north Georgia native’s life growing up, but also stories of her time on the road with Little Big Town and her life in Nashville.

The country music singer has been hosting her own cooking show for a while now on GAC called Kimberly’s Simply Southern. Now you can have those recipes at your fingertips in your own kitchen.

Music Row quotes the singing cook as saying about the cookbook; “I’ve been so excited about this that I could hardly stand the wait!” Kimberly adds; “When I’m not on stage with Little Big Town, you can probably find me in my kitchen.  As long as I’ve been singing, I’ve been cooking.  I have poured my heart and soul into this book, and I hope these recipes and stories will inspire you and bring you closer to the ones you love as you fill up their bellies—and their hearts.”

In my opinion, if her recipes are even half as satisfying to taste as her voice is to hear that is going to be a cookbook that should be in every kitchen!
