‘Now That’s What I Call ACM Awards 50 Years’ to be Released March 31st

The Academy of Country Music (ACM) has teamed with "Now That's What I Call Music!" for a special 2-disc release to commemorate the milestone year for the awards show.

Now That's What I Call ACM Awards 50 Years will feature hit country music from the half-decade that the awards show has been honoring the best in country music.

An ACM press release reveals that songs as recent as “The House That Built Me” by Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” will be featured on disc one of the set. Classics like “Always on My Mind” by Willie Nelson, “Why Not Me” by The Judds, and “He Stopped Loving Her Today” by George Jones will be included on disc two of the set.

The list of artists that will be included on the project include Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Alabama, Faith Hill, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and many more. A complete track list will be released very soon.

The album will be released date of March 31st is just in time for the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards broadcast. The awards show will air live Sunday, April 19th at 7pm central time on CBS. The Academy of Country Music will put all of its proceeds from sales of the album into the ACM Lifting Lives program, the philanthropic arm of the ACM that is dedicated to improving lives through the power of music.
