Remember when you used to count down the days for a new CD to come out? I've been doing that with Blake Shelton & Thompson Square.

I've always been a huge fan of Blake, and now with the success of The Voice, he's gained national popularity and is a household name. His eighth studio album "Based On A True Story" comes out next Tuesday (March 26), and I couldn't be more excited. He does some work on the album with Miranda Lambert's band "Pistol Annies" and even features the vocals of one of his former Voice Contestant RaeLynn (gotta be honest I'm NOT excited about that, but I'll forgive him.) Next week will be busy for Blake, The Voice Season 4 premieres (three-peat?) Monday, and Tuesday you can pick up "Based On A True Story".

I'm also extremely excited for Thompson Square's album "Just Feels Good", also out Tuesday March 26th. There almost wasn't a Thompson Square, back when they were trying, they told each other "one more shot" before they had to move on to something else. Luckily that last shot was THE shot, and since seeing them open up for Luke Bryan at the US Cellular Coliseum in February, I have become a "super-fan".
