The top five performed for your votes on "The Voice" last night (6/10). Tonight two will be eliminated from the show. Which two will go home on "The Voice?"
For obvious reasons I am a Team Blake supporter. Blake Shelton is one of our format's top artists and I happen to be a fan of his music and him in general. I am also a fan of all the country artists on "The Voice." Yes, I have my favorites among them, but I will not reveal that preference in this blog. I will simply share some numbers with you that might be an indicator toward tonight's results on "The Voice."
Below are the iTunes numbers for last night's performances for all of the top five on "The Voice." This is only one of a few methods of voting for fans of the remaining artists. That means that these numbers in no way guarantee the final results for tonight's live results show on "The Voice." All it does is show which songs people were more willing to spend their money on. Remember that any artist that was in the top ten on iTunes (I believe that is the all-genre chart only) had their iTunes "votes" multiplied by ten. The numbers below were taken at 9 a.m. central time on iTunes.
The Swon Brothers
"Danny's Song" - #2 All-genre chart; #1 Country chart
"Turn The Page" - #8 All-genre; #4 Country chart
"Who I Am" - #4 All-genre; #2 Country chart
"Please Remember Me" - #7 All-genre; #3 Country chart
"Sad" - #9 All-genre; #2 Pop chart
"Firework" - #83 All-genre; #29 Pop chart
"Time After Time" - #12 All-genre; #5 Pop chart
"Clarity" - #24 All-genre; #11 Pop chart
"I Will Always Love You" - #48 All-genre; #2 R&B-Soul chart
"Bad Girls" - (could not find on All-genre chart); #3 R&B-Soul chart
So what do all these iTunes numbers mean? The only thing I can say that these numbers mean for sure is that a lot of people really liked the performances by the final five on "The Voice." Again, since there are multiple ways of voting, these numbers do not ensure that any of the artists are a shoo-in for the final three. They all still have the possibility of being in the bottom two tonight and could be headed home.
I will say that based on these iTunes numbers there is a good chance that Blake Shelton will have two artists in the final three as he goes for his three-peat as a coach on "The Voice." I am not trying to jinx him because there is also still the real possibility that he could lose one or both artists when ALL the votes are tallied. Only after tonight's show will we know for sure who is saved and which two are going home on "The Voice."
All of the top five should be very proud of what they have accomplished in getting this far on the show. They will all be able to chase their dreams and should be able to catch them regardless of tonight's outcome on "The Voice."
We will find out which artists will remain for the finals on "The Voice" when the live results show airs beginning at 7 p.m. central time on NBC.
