Caught on video, a golden eagle snatches a baby off the ground in Canada. The video has gone viral with over 2.7 million views.

The video was posted just yesterday (12/18) according to the information on YouTube. At the writing of this post, the video had been viewed 2,732,626 times since it's posting.

The eagle obviously saw the young baby as "prey" and attempted to grab it off the ground. Luckily, the eagle was not able to get away with the child. The child was scared and crying, but it doesn't appear that it was seriously hurt from the insident.

This video illustrates why parents should be extra vigalent when taking their children, especially little ones, to an area where preditory animals are known to inhabit.
